Someone posted this beautiful picture of the Snake River in the Grand Tetons.  It reminds me of the float trip Dianne and I took down the river in the 1970's.  Hopefully, we can repeat that float this July when we travel out there once again.

Sunset Sequence - June 7, 2022

Enjoy this sequence of sunset photos taken over Lake Minnewaska on one evening, June 7, 2022  - Gene

“A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.” - John Steinbeck, The Grapes of Wrath

“Softly the evening came with the sunset". – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

“When your world moves too fast and you lose yourself in the chaos, introduce yourself to each colour of the sunset.” – Christy Ann Martine

“Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty if only we have the eyes to see them.” – John Ruskin

The only kind of sunsets that I don’t like are the sunsets I missed.

“Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

There’s too many things I haven’t done yet, there’s too many sunsets I haven’t seen.

I never met a sunset I didn't like.

“The sky speaks in a thousand colours”. – S. R. Abbasi

“There is never one sunrise the same, or one sunset the same.” – Carlos Santana

“It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream”. – Barnard Williams

“When dark days come, remember the sun is just behind the clouds”. – Anon

“Sunsets are proof that what happens, every day can end beautifully”. – Kristen Butler

Sometimes you just need to pause…and be grateful.

My favorite color is sunset.

Ride off into your sunset.

Always find time for the things that make you happy to be alive.

Most Beautiful Spot

This spot in Voyagers National Park was recently named "the most beautiful spot in Minnesota".

I think the sunsets over Lake Minnewaska measure up pretty well too.  I took these pics last evening.

I'm told the sunsets are even better over at Lake Wobegon, not far from here.
